My name is Ariel. I practice massage therapy, teach yoga and lead retreats in upstate New York and abroad. My passion is the cultivation of sacred space. In one-on-one and group sessions, I use ceremony, nature and knowledge of the healing arts to help people transform. Whether physical or energetic, a life crisis or a body in need of rejuvenation, I create a space that is safe to let go, open and become whole again.

Thai Massage is to the body, what meditation is to the mind. A way back to your center. It is an ancient form of body work that uses various techniques to facilitate the flow of energy, eliminate stress and increase vitality in the body. In my sessions I integrate these techniques with training in Shiatsu under master Ohashi, traditional Chinese medicine principles and western orthopedic assessments to provide fully rounded and integrative treatments.
Some of its benefits:
Mother nature and the practice of sacred ceremony are the anchors to the retreats I facilitate. My team and I facilitate programs for participants to reconnect with self and spirit using practices from indigenous cultures and healing arts both modern and ancient. Yoga, meditation, dance and native rituals are just a few of the tools woven into these retreats. Both in upstate New York and at our retreats abroad, guest presenters, guides and spiritual teachers are invited hold space and create group activities.
I have known Ariel for over a decade and can attest to the degree of professionalism, respect and light-heartedness he brings to his practice. He truly cares for his clients and their well-being and it shows in the focus and compassion he leads with at each encounter. In addition, Ariel possess a tremendous fountain of energy from which he is able to draw upon to heal those he works with. Sessions with him will be the needed salve for your body and spirit.

Ariel Figueroa is an exceptional body worker and amazing healer. I went to him for some relaxation and he not only helped me relax but helped me see myself in a completely different way. His technical acumen is superb. His questions before the session set the tone and helped put my session in context, and afterwards he made me feel supported, something I really needed. I unreservedly recommend his services to anyone who wants relaxation, healing and a session that is many cuts above what is available in New York. This is saying a lot given my experience with other practitioners and the work I do. He is the real deal and someone you will want to work with.
- Julio Cortez, Health Coach and Energy Healer, New York NY
Ariel is an extremely warm and caring healer. My Thai massage experience with him helped to increase my chi or energy while deeply stretching my limbs and muscles in a way I'm unable to do on my own. I even felt my nasal passageways open up allowing for more enhanced breathing! Ariel's ability to create a sacred space made me feel as if I was "transported" to a place of ultimate wellness and well-being. I highly recommend Ariel's Thai massage and am looking forward to more myself.

Ariel is a true healer. During the times we've spent together, I've gotten as much out of his spectacular ability to release tension in my body, as I have from the palpable care and concern Ariel so clearly has for my well being. He's a rare human that's able to break down complex spiritual paradigms into easy to understand concepts that he weaves into everything he does. Our sessions are as good for my body as they are my soul.

Turn the mid-week slump into an oasis of energy and restoration in NYC's most beautiful park.
Every Wednesday through the end of September, I will be offering sessions in Central Park (weather permitting).
On Wednesdays only, I am offering a discounted rate:
$30 for 30 minutes,
$60 for 60 minutes,

Let's face it, as important as it is, not everyone can afford the going rate for much needed self-care. This is an opportunity for people of all income brackets to receive the benefits of this beautiful healing practice.
Wednesday, June 1 was the first Thai Massage Wednesday and it was so beautiful to set up in the park. I look forward to sharing my practice with you in the open air in the weeks to come.
